Course FAQs

How many classes will I have per week?

You will have 20 classes per week (4 classes per day). Your classes might start in the morning or afternoon. We are very flexible providing additional and adjusted schedules for students upon request.

Please note that for classes with 2 students or less, classes will be reduced to 3 per day, as time will be used more efficiently and progress will be the same (or even more).

How many classmates will I have?

It’s very important for us to give each student the attention they deserve, which is why we always keep our classrooms with a reduced number of students.

There is a maximum of six students per class, which will enable the teacher to focus more on each individual student.

What language will be used during class?

The main language of teaching is Japanese, yet our teachers understand English.

Meiji Academy teachers are very experienced using communicative methods of language teaching, and they are experts at using different means, such as role-plays and mimics to ensure that even complete beginners are able to learn Japanese smoothly.

How long is a lesson?

A lesson is 50 minutes long. Students have small breaks in between classes so that they can relax or have a snack.

How much will I learn?

There is no limit! Our teachers are used to working with all types of students, and will make sure you improve your conversational abilities, as well as your reading and writing, enabling you to enjoy Japan to the fullest.

We are always amazed by how fast students improve their language skills, and we will help you in any way possible so that you can reach your maximum potential.
